Bourbon is about the journey, not a destination. What you learn, the places you visit, the people you meet, the time together, the experiences, the sharing of the common interest, and the enjoyment of the drink is what defines the journey. We can all learn from each other, no matter where we are in the journey.
At Bourbon Journey we will share what we have learned on our journey and be a resource to provide great information from the world of bourbon.
We believe bourbon should be drank and enjoyed, however you like.
A Unifying and central resource for all things bourbon, whiskey, rye, etc. If someone wants to know about something related to whiskey, this is the place to go; and to hopefully have something for everyone, novice to connoisseur. We want to share our experiences and things we’ve learned with people who are where we once were as well as to provide value to the community by centralizing all the bits of information that are scattered all over the place.
We want to be approachable and related able to the most number of people, not just the small fraction of people who are super into specific aspects of bourbon. We are not pretentious, snobby, or elitist, we don’t want new people to have impression that we think we are better than them or that we are bourbon snobs. Everyone is included the same, new to expert the same, all people, etc., no making fun of people, etc. We believe bourbon should be drank, enjoy it however you like it.
It’s about the journey, not the destination; It’s not where you’re going, it’s how you get there. We believe that everyone’s interest and experience is different and that there are many ways to go (the Journey), but that we are all headed in the same direction, there isn’t only one way. We can all learn something from each other and find value in other people’s journeys, experience and knowledge. People will have their own journey and we are trying to provide them with the information they need for that. Our paths on the journey may cross and be similar, but not the same.
We will need to regularly ask ourselves, what information and interests do people at all stages of the journey want and have? Then we will either find it and provide it, or create it ourselves.
